Guardian Angel Sports Club defeated SCC Lotoulim 9-8 via the tie-breaker to enter into the finals of UCT Trophy 9-a-side inter-village football tournament, organised by United Club Telaulim, at Government Primary School ground, Telaulim, on Monday.
Guardian Angel SC scored the goal through Jaison Dias in the first half while SCC Lotoulim equalised through Gleeson fernandes in the second half and made way for penalty shoot out to decide the winner.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Guardian Angel SC scored through Fedrich Fernandes, Cyril Dias, Godwin D'Costa, Preston Castanha, Granville Fernandes, Aliton Furtado, Godwin Fernandes, Milroy Clement while SCC Lotoulim netted through Flager Moraes, Alvito Fernandes, Aniston D'Silva, Samson Mascarenhas, Aryan Fernandes, Austin Fernandes and Hanson Cardozo.
The final will be played Between Parish Youth Nuvem and Guardian Angel SC Curchorem on December 29.
Fedrich Fernandes of Guardian Angel SC Curchorem was awarded man of the match by Avilon Gomes, player of Navelim.
