Lotlikar Lions and Risers registered contrasting wins in their respective matches of the Advocates Cricket League (ACL T20) 2025, played at SAG’s Chicalim ground in Vasco.
In the first match, Lotlikar Lions bowled first and restricted 18 Juners to 112. Ramkrishna Shetye (3/18) and Pankaj Naik (3/15) shared the bulk of the wickets.
18 Juners’ top-6 batters struggled, but Dinesh Naik (37), Sujay Parab (25), and Rohan Shirodkar (13) helped them reach a face-saving total.
Lotlikar Lions overhauled the target in the 14th over, with Sandeep DMello hitting an unbeaten 50.
In the second match, Risers put up a challenging 172/8 after being asked to bat first.
Abhinav Marathe (33), Shantaram Naik (28), Rohit Desai (24), and Dattaraj Arondekar (24) were the main run-getters.
Lawyer Challengers’ Harsh Parekh impressed with figures of 3/29.
In reply, Lawyer Challengers looked set to overhaul the target, but Achit Shigwan’s untimely dismissal allowed Risers to make a comeback. Achit scored 49, and Akshay Vengurlekar made 34. Risers won the match by 18 runs, restricting Lawyer Challengers to 154/9 in 20 overs.
