MARGAO
Mardol Police Station emerged victorious in the South Goa District Inter-Police Station 5-a-side Futsal Tournament, held at Camp Souza Ground and organized by Maina Curtorim Police Station. A total of 22 teams participated in the event, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of police personnel across the district.
In a competitive final, Mardol Police Station claimed the title, while Quepem Police Station finished as the runners-up, highlighting the spirited rivalry among the teams.
The tournament also featured an exhibition match, where Superintendent of Police Santosh Dessai, along with Police Inspectors Arun Dessai, Yogesh Sawant, Arjun Sangodkar, Kapil Nayak, Tukaram Chawan, and other staff members participated. This friendly match not only added excitement to the event but also fostered camaraderie among the officers, emphasizing the importance of teamwork both on and off the field. The tournament was a great success, promoting fitness and community engagement within the police force.
