MARGAO
In an exciting final under the floodlights at DSYA Ground in Curtorim, Margao Sports Club triumphed over Sao Jose de Areal with a dominant 3-0 victory to claim the 14th Wilred Leisure Soccer Cup 2025 on Saturday.
Margao’s performance was electric from the start, with three quick goals in the first half by Edgar Noronha, Ashley Arauno, and Sereino Fernandes, leaving Areal unable to mount a comeback.
The match was attended by a large crowd, with Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco, MLA of Curtorim and Chairman of GIDC, gracing the occasion as the chief guest. He presented the prizes in the presence of other dignitaries, including Xavier Vas, Managing Director of Times Leisure, Raghuveer Kuncolekar, Finance Director of Times Leisure, Alcino D'Silva, Sarpanch of Curtorim, Michelle Rebelo, ZP Curtorim, and several others.
