MARGAO: Navelim Sporting Club got the better of St Cruz Society Poitomado Cuncolim with a 4-2 victory in a penalty shoot-out to secure a spot in the quarterfinals of the 45th St. Joseph Festival inter-village football tournament, organised by the Dramapur Sports Club, at the Dramapur football ground.
In the shootout, Nash Pereira, Ronaldo Pereira, Noah Luis, and Meliston Dias scored for Navelim SC, while Mathew Fernandes and Vinod Velip were the only players to score for St. Cruz Society Poitomado Cuncolim.
