PANAJI: Nevil Araujo scored the goal that mattered as Ilhas Veterans put it across Mitra Veterans 1-0 to enter the semifinals of the All Goa veterans football tournament, organised by Mix Friends of Santa Cruz, at Santa Cruz ground on Wednesday.
In a closely-fought encounter, Ilhas Veterans started on the front foot and held on to the lead till the conclusion of the match.
Ilhas will now face Calangute Veterans in the semifinal clash.
