Peddem Bomm Sports Club delivered a commanding performance today, securing a comfortable 4-0 win against Sinquerim Sports Club in the quarterfinals of the 17th London Trophy Inter Village Football Tournament 2025, organised by Goa Velha Sports Club.
Peddem Bomm wasted no time in asserting their dominance. Faheez Mohammad drew first blood in the 13th minute, putting his team in the lead. Just four minutes later, in the 17th minute, Mohamad Azur extended their advantage, heading the ball into the Sinquerim net to make it 2-0 before the halftime whistle.
The second half saw Peddem Bomm continue their attacking prowess. Samuel D'Souza further solidified their lead in the 40th minute, making it 3-0. Santosh Bhulan then sealed the victory in the 54th minute, tapping the ball past Sinquerim goalkeeper Suraj Naik to bring the final score to 4-0.
The match also saw a couple of cautions, with Kreepal Dhargalkar of Peddem Bomm Sports Club and Krish Naroji of Sinquerim Sports Club receiving yellow cards from match referee Rohidas Bhomkar.
Following their decisive win, Peddem Bomm Sports Club has advanced to the semifinals, where they are set to face Parish Youth, Nuvem, on April 6.
Faheez Mohammad of Peddem Bomm Sports Club was recognized for his impactful performance and was awarded the Man of the Match trophy by Bryan Pegado, the General Secretary of Goa Velha Sports Club.
