Parish Youth Nuvem cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory over an indisciplined Navelim Villagers Union in the quarter-finals of the 17th London Trophy Inter-Village Football Tournament 2025, organized by Goa Velha Sports Club.
The match saw Shenoy Colaco open the scoring for Parish Youth in the 22nd minute, beating Navelim goalkeeper Selwin Gomes. Just minutes later, Joywin Costa doubled the lead in the 26th minute, with his shot finding the back of the net, making it 2-0 at halftime.
The game was put beyond Navelim's reach when Nicolau Colaco sealed the win with a third goal in the 39th minute.
Navelim Villagers Union, however, played with a lack of discipline, with Francis Colaco and Richard Colaco both receiving yellow cards. The situation worsened when Rovan Pereira was sent off for kicking an opponent.
PY Nuvem will now face the winners of the Peddem Bomm Sports Club vs. Sinquerim Sports Club match in the semi-finals on April 6.
Francis Colaco of PY Nuvem was named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Joy Gonsalves, a player and member of Goa Velha Sports Club, based in the United Kingdom.
