Raia Sporting Club secured a thrilling 10-9 victory over host team Betalbatim Sporting Club in a dramatic tiebreaker to book their place in the final of the 7th Martin’s Cup Football Tournament. The match, organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club, took place at the Panchayat Ground in Betalbatim on Sunday.
Both teams displayed impressive skill in front of a large crowd, with neither side managing to score during regular time, leaving the match locked at 0-0. In the ensuing tiebreaker, Raia Sporting Club proved to be the better shooters, securing the win and a date with Sporting Club Davorlim in the final, scheduled for January 19.
Melroy Borges of Raia Sporting Club was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance, with the award presented by Bonny Pereira, president of Betalbatim Sporting Club.
