MARGAO: Host team Rebello Pandal Maina stormed into the quarterfinals of the 18th All Goa Rebello Pandal Football Tournament with a decisive 5-1 victory over Shiroda Boys at the St. Rita Church ground in Maina Curtorim, on Thursday.
Rebello Pandal launched an immediate attack, netting five goals during the regulation time. Jollyton and Wilson each scored twice, while Milton also contributed to the scoreline. Johnny managed to score the solitary goal for Shiroda Boys.
Goalkeeper Pearson of Rebello Pandal was recognized for his outstanding performance and was awarded the Man of the Match trophy by Elida Rebello.
