Rishan sets up men's title clash with Anshuman

The YMCA All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, held at the Indoor Stadium in Campal, Panaji, saw an exciting turn of events as young Peddem based upcoming paddler Rishan Shaikh upset Arvind Kumar, Goa's top seed from the previous season, to set up a highly anticipated title clash in Men's singles with Anshuman Agarwal, a former National medalist.

Rishan Shaikh, who had previously reached the finals in the Boys U15 category, showcased his talent, temperament and determination. His victory over Arvind Kumar, a seasoned player, has set the stage for an electrifying final where he will vie for a double crown.

The tournament also witnessed commendable performances from Noel Estibeiro, Reagan Pinto, Vaidik Srivastava, Chandan Caro, Niraj Kannure, Kewal Tamhankar, and Pranav Naik in the pre-quarterfinals. Unfortunately, top seed Aaron Farias had to give a walkover due to health issues. The final match between Anshuman Agarwal and Rishan Shaikh promises to be a thrilling encounter and will be played on Sunday afternoon session at Campal.
