Sporting Club Davorlim secured their place in the finals of 7th Martin's Cup football tournament, organised by Betalbatim Sporting Club, as they got hard fought victory over United club of Verna 3-2 in the semifinal played at Panchayat ground Betalbatim on Saturday
Sporting Club Davorlim took the lead in the eighth minute through Cidroy Miranda and in the 20th minute Verna equalised through Clifton Rebello.
After resumption of second half, Verna's Hilton Colaco increased the tally in the 33rd minute. Davorlim regrouped quickly and scored the equaliser goal through Reeve D'Costa in the 50th minute.
The all important goal came from the boots of Nevil Mascarenhas in the 65th minute.
Keith Vaz, Ex MP of Leicester gave away man of the match award to Francisco Colaco of Sporting Club Davorlim.
