Sesa Football Academy is set to face Kerala United FC in an eagerly anticipated I-League 3 clash at GFA Stadium, Duler, Mapusa on Saturday at 9 am.

This match is one of the most anticipated fixtures of the week, given the strong form and fitness of both teams, and the added motivation of securing a crucial victory.

Sesa Football Academy enter the game with one point after a 1-1 draw against Maharashtra Oranje in their opening match. The Goan side will be aiming for a win to climb up the standings.

In contrast, Kerala United FC comes into the match with four points, having drawn with Maharashtra Oranje in their second round. The Kerala team is buoyed by their strong performance so far and is eager to continue their winning streak.

“Our goal is to secure a win and claim all three points to bolster our chances of winning the league title,” said Charles Dias, coach of Sesa Football Academy. “We are approaching this match with great enthusiasm and preparation.”

Dias highlighted that this match is a crucial step in their preparation for I-League 3, and expressed gratitude to the management for the opportunity to realize the fans’ dreams. “We are committed to improving our conditions and making progress. We are prepared to face our opponents in Goa and will be fully ready for the campaign,” he added.

“There is no added pressure on us. We will approach the Kerala United FC match as we would any other,” Dias concluded.

Kerala United FC coach Liandala Fanai also shared his thoughts ahead of the match. “Sesa Football Academy is a strong team with players who have been playing together for years. We have analyzed their strengths and expect a tough match. They are a formidable side, and although we conceded some easy goals in our previous game, I have confidence in my players. We will fight hard to secure a win,” Fanai stated.
