MARGAO: Shiroda Youth Club secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Fr. Agnel YSC Paroda in a captivating quarterfinal match of the 14th Wilred Leisure Soccer Cup 2025 at the DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
The match began with Fr. Agnel YSC Paroda taking the lead in the 31st minute through a goal from Melson Fernandes, giving them a 1-0 advantage at halftime.
However, Shiroda Youth Club rallied strongly in the second half. Elias Colaco leveled the score in the 41st minute, igniting a determined comeback. In the 61st minute, Climax Fernandes delivered the decisive blow, scoring a well-placed goal from inside the box, securing Shiroda's 2-1 victory.
Reston Vaz of Shiroda Youth Club was awarded the Man of the Match for his exceptional performance throughout the game.
