MARGAO: St. Cruz Society Poitomado Cuncolim had to wait until the tiebreaker to defeated Navelim Villagers Union 6-5 to enter in the quarterfinals of the 13th OL of Fatima soccer football tournament, organised by Dicarpale SC, at Dicarpale ground, on Wednesday.
After the barren full session, Shivam Velip, Mathew Fernandes, Shankar Gaunder, Viraj Velip, Ansh Patel and Mcliesh Pereira scored for St Cruz Society Poitomado while Nash Pereira, Noah Luis, Aden Pereira, Venito Costa and Nevin Pereira shot at the target for Navelim Villagers Union. Viraj Velip of Poitomado Cuncolim was awarded the Man of the match.
