The newly renovated basketball court at St Mary’s Convent High School, Mapusa was inaugurated and blessed on Friday. The project was undertaken as one of the activities to commemorate the school’s Platinum Jubilee. The basketball court now sports a 5-layer synthetic hard-coat surface. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Calangute MLA Michael Lobo. Rev Fr Seville Antao, the Guest of Honour blessed the basketball court. Headmistress Sr Maria Snehala thanked the gathering for their presence and the donors for their wholehearted support in making this dream a reality. The programme ended with a basketball shoot-out by the dignitaries and the school basketball team officially marking the beginning of many exciting matches and tournaments.
