The St Xavier’s Institute High School, Curtorim, successfully organised its Annual Sports Day and Prize Distribution event at the St Alex Church Ground in Curtorim. The event, themed "Champions of Tomorrow: Believe it; Achieve it," was graced by distinguished guests, including Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco as the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour Maria Joaquina Fernandes, President Dr. Ernesto J.G. Rodrigues, Chairperson Maria Carma Mendonca, Manager Melroy D. Fernandes, Headmistress Melania Da Costa e Vas, and PTA Chairperson Mahesh Pagui.
The day began with an impressive march past by all four houses, reflecting their teamwork and discipline. The pre-primary students delighted the audience with an energetic zumba dance performance, while the primary students showcased a lively dandiya drill. A serene yoga display demonstrated the students' flexibility and focus, followed by a captivating mass PT performance.
The highlight of the event was the inter-school relay race, where St Xavier’s Institute emerged victorious, claiming the first-place trophy. The girls and boys of the school also impressed with their performances in lezims, flag drill, and pyramid formations.
