PANAJI
The 39th National Taekwondo Championship (ITF) took place from December 27 to 29, at the Campal Indoor Stadium in Panaji. The event attracted participants from across India, showcasing their talent in the sport of taekwondo.
Students under the guidance of Baburam Bishwamarma, a 2nd Dan Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo, delivered impressive performances. Several of his students earned top honours, including Antara S Halarnekar, Sonal P Rane, and Ankit Tripathi, all of whom won gold medals. Ira Nikhil Naik secured a silver medal, while Luis A Henriques earned a bronze.
Team Goa, led by Baburam Bishwamarma and Siba Sadhak, also a 2nd Dan Black Belt in ITF Taekwondo, competed fiercely and secured 4th place in the overall championship.
