Stating that artistes and actors make a positive impact on the lives of people through their actions, noted singer Hema Sardesai said these influencers should work for the welfare of society and the country, thereby setting an example for others.
She was speaking at a function organised by Panchamrutha Industries at the Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon in Dona Paula to present the Goa Influencer Awards (GIA) 2024, announced by the company.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Jivba Dalvi, Richard Noronha of the Food and Drugs Administration, cinematographer Shamard Raiturkar, and Director of Panchamrutha Industries Jambu Hosamani were present at the event.
Hema Sardesai further mentioned that she has been working in Bollywood and Hollywood for several years now and has seen that although actors earn money and publicity, some of them are not happy in their private lives.
Dy SP Jivba Dalvi said influencers should work to create awareness about the ill effects of drugs.
“Influencers should impress upon the youth not to consume drugs,” said Dalvi.
Jambu Hosamani, Director of Panchamrutha Industries, said all products of Panchamrutha have received a great response in Goa. Sharmad Raiturkar and Richard Noronha also spoke on the occasion.
Jessica Sharma compered the programme, while Adisha Angle later proposed the vote of thanks.
