Is speaking truth a risk or a reward?

We all love truth… or do we? As kids, we were told, “Always tell the truth!” But let’s be honest—telling the truth feels like walking on a tightrope with no safety net. One wrong step and boom! Sometimes, it is like stepping on a landmine. You never know if people will applaud you, ignore you, or get furious. Today, the situation has changed. Lies spread faster than truth, and deception often leads to success. A well-packaged lie is accepted as truth, and those who speak the truth are labelled as troublemakers.

Truth is like a double-edged sword. If handled wisely, it can build trust. If spoken recklessly, it can break hearts. Truth demands courage, sacrifice, and responsibility. History shows that truth has its own way of shining through. Great leaders, saints, and freedom fighters stood by the truth, and we admire them today. Truth may appear to be risky, but it always comes with a reward. If everyone believes a falsehood, does it become true? No. The sun doesn’t stop shining just because people close their eyes. Truth may be suppressed, but it never dies. History proves that silence may be safe, but truth is powerful. The question is—are we ready to pay the price for it?

A person who always speaks the truth is like a tree with deep roots—strong, reliable, and respected. It is like a boomerang; it always comes back to reward you. People may not like hearing it, but deep down, they respect those who are truthful. But truth needs a good presentation. Diplomacy is key! Think of it like food—blunt truth is like a raw potato, hard to digest. But truth with kindness? That’s like crispy, golden fries—everyone loves it! The Almighty loves those who speak the truth because it shows courage and sincerity. The Bible says, “Let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.” Truth protects dignity, justice, and righteousness. It ensures that no one is tricked, misled, or denied their fair share.

The key is to be honest but kind, truthful but thoughtful. Truth is like fire—it can either warm or burn you. It all depends on how you use it. Lies may win in the short run, but the truth always stands the test of time. It’s up to us—do we choose easy lies or the power of truth? Because truth is not just a virtue, it is the key to real freedom. It is not just a choice—it is a responsibility. Let us speak it, live by it, and stand for it, for in truth, we walk with God.
