Parents are unhappy as the Education Department has not yet issued an order to relocate the Anganwadi in Tamasado-Dharbandora. Since August 6, parents have stopped sending their children to the centre due to damp floors.

The Women and Child Welfare Department requested permission from the Education Department to move the Anganwadi to a nearby government primary school. However, no order has been received. Parents are now urging Education Minister and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to address the issue urgently.

Twenty-five children from the area attended the Anganwadi Centre. Parents demanded relocation due to the damp floors in the rented room where the Anganwadi operates.

In response to the boycott, Deputy Collector of Dharbandora Taluka, Nilesh Dhaygodkar, held a meeting with the local sarpanch, concerned officials, and parents. They decided to move the Anganwadi to a nearby government primary school. The Women and Child Welfare Department sought permission from the Education Department for this move.

However, no order has been issued to relocate the Anganwadi. Parents are demanding that CM Pramod Sawant address the matter and issue the order immediately.

Reliable sources indicate that the Education Department officials sent the file to the Chief Minister’s office 10-12 days ago.
