MARGAO

The Congress party staged protests at several constituencies in Salcete on Thursday as part of the call given by the party leadership to condemn the attack on students as well as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.

Congress leaders and workers from Margao staged a protest in front of the Margao Municipal building. Congress block committee Convenor Savio Coutinho, party leader Chirag Naik, Congress working president M K Shaikh, youth Congress president Archit Naik and others joined the protest.

The Curtorim Congress Block also organised a protest to condemn the brutal attack on students and LOP Rahul Gandhi for their peaceful protest against the Education Minister and the NEET paper leak that took place. 

The protest was presided by GPCC Working President M K Sheikh, GPCC General Secretary and Curtorim Congress Leader Moreno Rebelo, Curtorim ZP member Astra D’silva and Ex-ZP member Michelle Rebelo.The protest was attended by the aggrieved youth from Curtorim Constituency along with sympathizers of the Congress Party.

Meanwhile, a similar protest was staged in Navelim called by the Navelim Block Congress committee. Congress leaders Pratima Coutinho, Cipru Cardozo, Melvyn, Orlando and others participated in the agitation.
